Intellio Video System 4 (IVS4) has become more efficient than ever before – thanks to its new functions. Intelligent Live View acts as a proactive alarming function as it can keep track of the target person across camera views. Event-based search functions help find an event in the recorded footage in a matter of seconds. Thanks to its additional intelligent solutions, IVS4 meets users’ expectations of up-to-date surveillance systems: in fact, innovative functions exceed these expectations, while preserving the system’s renowned reliability. IVS4 supports all the intelligent video analytics functions and detectors of Intellio cameras and it is an ONVIF Profile S compliant product.
New features and main functions of IVS4
Intelligent Live ViewNEW!
Intelligent Live View is a new feature that automatically displays the enlarged live view of those cameras that are actually registering an event. If there is only 1 ongoing event, then – with appropriate settings – the system will keep track of the person involved in the event, automatically toggling between cameras and views. In order to ensure maximum efficiency, and to prioritize easy proactive live view, cameras involved need to be pre-defined or pre-selected and display arrangement changes automatically, as well, to ensure top efficiency.
Navigate between camerasNEW!
If users wish to follow an event or simply change angles while using live view, they have the option to navigate from one camera to another without ever losing sight of the event, even for a split second. This feature displays arrows indicating the positions of cameras in the live view itself, enabling users to navigate between cameras by clicking on the arrow pointing to the next camera without taking their eyes off the screen or having to browse lists of camera names. Navigating between cameras by clicking on arrows is an easy way to cruise around the observed territory – as if in Streetview. This solution is particularly useful in large systems like urban surveillance or guaranteeing the security of high priority complexes. A busy junction, for instance, can be easily monitored through multiple camera views and a suspect on the run can be tracked down in the jungle of downtown streets and alleys. Similarly, operators can switch effortlessly between floors of a highrise building when the target person attempts to flee via staircases, running fom one storey to another.
Bookmarks are a way to label/mark recorded video footage for easy reference, playback or export in the future, without having to spend time on retrieval. Bookmarks are easily selected from a complete list. They do not simply mark a point: instead, they are a link to the video stream of up to 4 interlinked cameras, complete with still images and active detectors.
Long-term storage is a function that allows previously bookmarked video footage to be copied onto a secondary data storage device to save it for a longer period of time. It guarantees that relavant recorded video material will not be automatically deleted from the primary buffer as specified in general settings. Long-term storage may be used to keep recorded video available for an extended period – or to economize on storage space by decreasing refresh rate.
PTZ preset based playback
Event search in urban surveillance is revolutionized by a preset-based PTZ playback function, which allows viewing recorded footage as defined in presets. Operators of a monitoring system do not have to painstakingly search for an event in the turmoil of video material recorded while the camera was panning (rotating), twisting and turning during a patrolling task. The events can be filtered by presets (angle positions). Operators can select the relevant camera position and play back recorded footage as if it had been viewed by a fixed camera. This eliminates irrelevant recorded material and facilitates and greatly enhances the video analytics tasks performed on material recorded by PTZ cameras.
Enlargement and zooming is a feature available during the playback of exported videos and enhances event retrievability.
System documentation module
Compiling the system documentation module is a laborious task for operators as it requires a lot of information and involves multiple technical documentation. An all-inclusive snapshot on how the system operates taken at the time of the intial setup of the module will record all the important elements and will be saved as a self-evident, easy-to-interpret document. This comprises all system components, the complete architecture, set parameters, access levels and it even documents the cameras and a still image as viewed by each camera.
Quick search by camera name
A convenient function for routine operation of large-sized systems is a quick search by camera ID (device name). Users can find the relevant camera by its individual name or the group where the camera belongs.
Camera settings in groups
Engineers or operators installing the system may find it useful to set the parameters of identical cameras simultaneously as well as individually. This feature allows optional system-level changes on all cameras at the same time.
Intelligent Event Browser
This is a popular server-side solution that helps you find a specific event. Thanks to Intellio’s Smart Search solution, the system will automatically find the event you are looking for – in a matter of seconds. Intellio Samrt Search technology ensures that the entire range of intelligent detectors is available at retrieval, as well – even if they were not set active when the event was recorded. A lot of time is saved by parametric settings of the search function. It even reduces response time on the part of security personnel in case of theft or other criminal activity and increases the likelihood of capturing the perpetrators. The software’s interface is capable of rendering a still image to each event: a click on these will help you reconstruct the event.
Intelligent Object Search
A couple of clicks will show when an object was moved into or out of a certain location, even in a time interval spanning several weeks. Examples: when a valuable painting or other work of art was moved in or out; arrival and departure times of a vehicle.
Intelligent Motion Search
The system queries motion based on meta data from the cameras. Operators need not watch the entire footage, yet this function yields results in seconds. The only images displayed are the ones where motion is detected.
Intellio surveillance system is highly reliable. Thanks to redundant solutions, the system loses no data or images in case of a blackout (power failure) or server error. Intellio systems guarantee uninterrupted operation without requiring additional hardware.
Automatic motion tracking and zooming function (client-side). Enlarges view of monitored area without human intervention. This function is independent of storage mode.
The function button controlling playback speed convenient control by operators 4× speed backwards playback or 30× speed forward playback. Slow-motion playback is also available.

System management notification
Video management software sends notification through an external e-mail server to predefined e-mail accounts about errors occurring in system logs. This function is activated when a camera has been unavailable for a long period of time
Intellio Video System supports audio input assigned to a camera, so it can take an audiovisual recording of the area under surveillance. Audio channels of the system can be freely assigned to any camera or any group of cameras. In fact, several audio channels can be assigned to a single camera – either during live monitoring or at the time of playback. Audio recording parameters can be customized: for instance, sound recording is activated only if the sound volume reaches a preset threshold value.
3D map interface
Cameras of a system can be displayed on a 3D map depicting the entire surveillance scheme of the monitored complex.
Panoramic view is a large live screen created by stitching together views of multiple cameras. This function is used when monitoring a high risk area or facility in exceptionally high resolution, even as a single large livescreen. Automatic software solutions facilitate the alignment and the creation of a panoramic view rendered from as many as 100 cameras. This solution is ideal in the surveillance of grandstands, sports complexes or other sites and facilities accommodating massive crowds.
