Protecting your personal data is important to Intellio Integrated Video System Ltd. (hereinafter: “We”, “Us”, “Our”) and to our business practices, in compliance with the pertaining laws on privacy, data protection and data security. The statement below outlines how we may collect, use and safeguard that information and with whom we may share it. This Privacy Statement also covers websites managed by us. We encourage you to read it and the policies of all websites you may visit.

1. Data processing in relation to a contract

1.1. Purpose of data processing

We might process your data for the preparation, conclusion, performance and termination of a contract and in order to be able to contact you during the contracting period.

According to the principle of data minimisation, the data of the natural person contracted as a purchaser or as a supplier are only processed on a case-by-case basis, as the customer’s name, telephone number, e-mail address and online identifier (buyer, supplier list, loyalty list). This data processing is considered legitimate even if the data processing is necessary before the contract is concluded to take action on the request of the person concerned.

1.2. Scope of processed data

Customer contact name, phone number, e-mail address.

1.3. Legal grounds for processing data

Data processing is a legitimate interest in the processing, performance and termination of data processing (point (f) of Article 6 (1) of the General Data Protection Regulation).

1.4. Retention time of processed data

The duration of the data processing begins at the time of the first appearance of your personal data and lasts until the change of your data or even after the termination of our contract for a defined period of time. We will retain the data until the deadline for enforcing legal claims in relation to a contract or for 5 years after our last successful contact. The purpose of such retention is to be able to re-engage with you.

1.5. Possible consequences of failure to provide data

Specifying your data is required to establish a contractual relationship and to maintain contact with you. If you do not provide your necessary personal data, it is not possible to conclude a contract and maintain business relationship.

1.6. Data transmission

We will not forward your personal data to third parties except in the following cases:

  • Data processors of our affiliated companies and our local distributors,
  • If the transmission of the data to a third party is necessary to provide you with the requested proposals and services.

2. Support registration

2.1. Purpose of data processing

Contact between our customer and us to be able to provide our products to you — which includes updating, securing and troubleshooting, as well as providing support. It also includes:

  • Sharing data, when it is required to provide the service or carry out the transactions you request.
  • Improve and develop our products.
  • Personalise our products and make recommendations.
  • Advertise and market to you, which includes sending promotional communications, targeting advertising and presenting you with relevant offers.

The support system only handles data of our registered business partners and their representatives or contacts.

2.2. Scope of processed data

Customer contact name, e-mail address, country, company name, purpose of visit and (optional) phone number.

If you do not provide the requested data, you are not entitled to use our support service system.

2.6. Data transmission

  • If the transmission of the data to a third party is necessary to provide you with the requested support services.

3. Visiting our websites

3.1. Personal data

Through our website, we do not collect any personally identifiable information about you (i.e.: your name, address, phone number or email, country, company name, purpose of visit etc.) unless you voluntarily disclose it to us through registration, in a survey or by email. If you do not want your personal data collected, please do not submit it to us. If you provide your personal data, we usually use it to respond to your inquiry, process your order or offer access to specific account information. Also, to support our customer relationship with you: (a) we may store and process personal data and share it with our affiliates to better understand your business needs, to improve our products and services; or (b) we (or a third party on our behalf) may use personal data to contact you about offers in support of your business needs, or to conduct online surveys to better understand our customers’ needs and profiles.

If you choose not to have your personal data used as a means to improve our customer relationship (especially in direct marketing or market research activities), we will respect your choice. We do not at the present, and shall not in the future sell, rent or otherwise market your personal data to third parties.

3.2. Automatically collected non-personal data through cookies

When you access our website, we may automatically (i.e.: not through registration) collect information so called cookies on your device. Cookies are small text files that store data that can be recalled by a web server in the domain that placed the cookie. We use cookies and similar technologies for storing and honoring your preferences and settings, enabling you to sign in, providing interest-based advertising, combating fraud, analysing how our products perform and fulfilling other legitimate purposes. The information gained through this method is not personally identifiable (e.g.: type of browser and computer operating system used; domain name of the website from which you arrived; number of visits, average time spent, pages viewed) but helps us improve the functioning of our website and provide you with an optimal user experience. You can easily remove these cookies through your web browser(s) settings and may also set there whether to allow cookies to be placed on your computer by the sites you visit. However, we also note that certain site features or services may not function properly without cookies.

3.3. Links to other sites

Our website may have links to other sites. We do not control the information collected on the sites that can be reached through such links. If you have questions about the data collection practices of the linked sites, please contact those companies directly.

3.4. Underage users

No personal data should be submitted to us by underage users without the consent of their parents or guardians. We encourage all parents or guardians to instruct their children in the safe and responsible use of their personal data on the Internet. We do not knowingly collect or use any personal data from underage users for any purpose whatsoever, including the disclosure to third parties.

4. Data security

We will take the necessary technical and organizational steps and establish appropriate rules to ensure the security of your personal data.

We select and operate the IT tools used to manage your personal data so that the data processed:

  • remains accessible to the authorized person (availability);
  • has assurance of authenticity and authentication (credibility of data management);
  • has assurance of the accuracy and consistency (data integrity);
  • is protected against unauthorized access (confidentiality of data).

We also ensure that:

  • we protect the data with appropriate measures against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, damage, unauthorized disclosure or unauthorized access;
  • we restrict access to personal data by granting access levels;
  • we protect IT systems with a firewall and provide virus protection;
  • during electronic data processing, the data can only be accessed under controlled conditions for the declared purpose and exclusively by those persons who need the access in order to perform their duties;
  • in order to protect electronically managed files in its various databases, we provide the appropriate technical solution so that the stored data cannot be directly linked and assigned to the subject, unless such link is permitted by law;
  • in the light of the current state of the art, we provide technical and organizational measures to protect the security of data management, which provides a level of protection that corresponds to the risks associated with data management.

We record any possible personal data breach, indicating facts related to the breach, its effects, and remedies. Any personal data breach will be reported to the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information without any delay if possible, at the latest 72 hours after the personal data breach becomes known, unless the privacy incident is unlikely to pose a risk to the rights and freedoms of a natural person.

5. Your rights and how to enforce them

You may request that your data should be corrected, restricted, deleted, and may ask for complete information about data processing. You may also request to get your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and transferred to another data controller.

We will process these requests within 1 month.

If you think that we are in violation of the law when processing data, you may file a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH):

6. Cookies and analytics consent

To understand how visitors use this website and to improve it, we use Google Analytics 4 (a service provided by Google Ireland Ltd.). Analytics cookies and similar technologies are only set after you give your consent through the cookie banner shown on your first visit.

6.1. Consent-based, off by default

By default, no analytics cookies are placed and no analytics data is collected. We use Google Consent Mode, which keeps analytics storage disabled until you select “Accept”. If you select “Reject”, no analytics cookies are set. The legal basis for this processing is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, together with the applicable ePrivacy rules on cookies).

6.2. What is processed

When you accept, Google Analytics collects information such as the pages you view, time on site, approximate location (with IP anonymisation enabled), and device and browser type. 6.3. Withdrawing your consent

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clearing the “intellio_consent” cookie (and other site cookies) in your browser settings — the consent banner will then appear again so you can choose differently. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser; note that certain site features may not then work as intended.
